As we've come to expect from the brand, Clarks has designed these great boots for anyone looking for a versatile design. I have these Clarks Bushacre 2 suede leather chukka desert boots here that I thought I would show you since I just devoted an entire previous post to some women’s Clarks shoes.

Because the sole is so durable and the leather upper is richly packed with oils and waxes, you’ll get great mileage from these boots, even though you won't be able to resole them. But if you want something to slip on with a pair of jeans and head out for a relaxed weekend, the Clarks Bushacre 2 is a fantastic choice. Crepe rubber is “stickier” and bouncier, and thus supposedly offers better grip and a more cushy step, but on the flip side wears out much more quickly and gets terribly dirty. The heel slip disappeared after about five wears, so that goes to show how quickly the leather adapts.

Place a ruler beside your foot touching the straight edge your heel is also touching, then take the length in millimetres from the tip of your longest toe to your heel.

It has some sort of ultra thin suede or faux suede fabric lining around the rear half of the boot that transitions into a twill fabric lining for the front half of the boot. You could certainly pair them with relaxed business casual wear (think polo and chinos), too, but I personally wouldn’t push the boundaries much past that. If you are into casual simplicity and unassuming style rather than showing up with guns (and shoes) blazing, these kicks might be a good way to go without breaking the bank. The sole on the Bushacre 2 answers a lot of the complaints we had with the crepe sole on the Desert Boot.
