All Fall Down kept me guessing, second guessing and doubting myself throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this book. Not Alexei, the Russian boy next door, who is keeping his eye on Grace for reasons she neither likes nor understands.I've always loved reading, and I spent most of my childhood trying to make real life as much like a book as possible. Helen and her team really have their work cut out, there are wrong turns, false leads, and a case of mistaken identity. I thought the end was very ill conceived and would have been better if Polly was interspersed witin the book more so that we could know her and like her thus the end would have been shocking and the bike on the roof was just silly.

However, this is A case where the killer seems to always be one step ahead of the police and the victims.She knows her dialogue, she knows how to describe actions and movements and secret glances with absolute accuracy. His panic is only increased when his hired driver takes him on a route with which he is not familiar. It was compelling, and the story gave us plenty room to grow into characters, to explore the circumstances and to breathe the rotten core that was spilling out, all for the reader to investigate. I thoroughly enjoyed All Fall Down which is an exciting, tense read with some good twists, as we have come to expect from Mr Arlidge. I felt really bad for her in this situation because even the best cops can’t see rat even in the heavy embrace of passion, it gets in the way, but once a cop, always a cop, she will route it out.
