About this deal

Thx Daniel Craig, perfectly believable and I have all5 on Blu-ray, where as all previous bonds are imprinted from watching time and again on repeat. We get some beautiful locations that are used as stunning canvases for these, from the Italian mountain town of Matera to the fog-shrouded forests of Langvann, Norway and onto the concrete beauty of the island lair in the Sea of Japan by way of the vibrant party town of Santiago de Cuba. Oscar winner Rami Malek ( Bohemian Rhapsody, Mr Robot, The Master) suffers the most from this, rendered almost totally redundant and coming across as little more than a characterless cipher.

I though Christophe Waltz was a wet fish as Blofeld in Spectre, but he’s a Hans Gruber of a villain compared to Rami Malek in this film.everything from action to intrigue with superior craftsmanship that builds a top-flight sort of 21st century big budget film experience.

What Daniel Craig’s reinvention did was to create a very human and vulnerable James Bond, a Bond that suffers, that ages, that grows, and in his five films he gave Bond a beginning and an end, from recruitment to retirement. Unlike most chapters in the series, Craig’s tenure has focused on serialized storytelling, with 2006’s “Casino Royale” sending 007 down a rabbit hole of secret organizations and personal betrayals, which culminated in the reveal of iconic adversary Blofeld in 2015’s “Spectre. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The story unfolds at quite a lick, there are plenty of twists and turns in the plot, plenty of globetrotting to do, and a lot of narrative to cover. In another review, I noted that we never get to see Craig’s Bond in his prime, doing the nine-to-five as a secret agent, and by Skyfall we were looking at Bond ready to quit his career.Given that this film was made in the Trump era, it posits a freezing of relations between the global intelligence agencies, which also adds tension between Bond and his former employers. The film uses different colour schemes depending on the location, with the sun-drenched climes of rural Italy in the opening scenes looking wonderfully hot and bright but never painfully so, and never at the expense of the shadows and darkness in these sequences. From the very first scene to the heart-pounding finale, "No Time To Die" keeps you on the edge of your seat with its riveting plot, intense action sequences, and brilliant performances from the cast.
