The random other POV’s thrown in there seemed out of place and the time jump at the end was very weird just missing a lot of the story not sure if that was on purpose to entice the reader to continue reading book 2.Scarlett and Lucien were intense, but I'm also curious about the other witches and their back stories. The darkness within runs deep within me as I revel in the violence of depravity for I am King on all I rule and this is hell. Adrik, the sovereign of the underworld with his deep blue gaze, is shrouded in mystery and exudes a protective instinct towards Sephie, hinting at a profound narrative yet to unfold.

I have never been an avid fan of mafia tales, except maybe the Sopranos, but I was really hooked by this book, Rise of the King, part of the Underworld Series. The supposed reimagining of Persephone and Hades lacked depth, and the abrupt, unresolved ending left me questioning if my Kindle download was incomplete.The character development and details from the author were incredible and this proved to be more than just another smutty book. This book like the second book was told from multiple characters POV it felt like the author wanted to make it like Black Dagger Brotherhood which it would’ve been great but unfortunately it came out messy I don’t know maybe with more editing and guidance this author will get better reviews. Although, this was a usual feat for Sephie, there was a different guest visiting the bar today, and he was the most feared mafia leader around. This one took a little longer, but as he held the pressure there, my stomach started to feel better and the nausea slowly passed.

Since marriage is the requirement, I would expect this Dreame novel to have more pleasant doses of romantic scenes throughout the chapters. As was the norm, those men of the underworld had gathered on their set out day to have their meeting, and Sephie had started to wait tables for them again until she was harassed by the sons of one of the mafia leaders that were in her bar. It was middle of the afternoon by the time I was done with all that, so I decided to check on the status of the meeting, thinking it would be done. Following this encounter, the King revealed to Sephie that she is Persephone, the Queen of the Underworld. Let's embark on a journey through the life of Sephie, a seemingly ordinary waitress whose fate is anything but common.As Sephie refills Anthony’s glass he smacks her ass and pulls her down causing Sephie to defend herself. It got reported and removed after being published for a week and half, now I’m banned from leaving reviews for any product. It was the norm for Sephie to be the lead waitress for the mafia gangs when they converged for meetings, and the unscrupulous ones among them harassed Sephie. King of the Underworld Adrik might be a ruler and known for his ruthless personality but with his queen he’s a man in love.

The novel is dotted with memorable scenes that resonate with readers, such as the poignant moment where Adrik comforts a distressed Sephie, endearingly referring to her as "solnishko" (sunshine), and vows to protect her. Second, nobody can figure out about Viktor, Andrei, Adrik, and other mafias’ identities unless they are parts of the brotherhood.I was reading it on AnyStories because I absolutely loved the story (King of the Underworld) but hated the AnyStories app cause it took forever from chapter to chapter waiting to get enough points to read the next chapter and the chapters were so short. Sephie talks about Anthony, the drunken mafia son, with them, and their discussion continues until the latest paragraphs in King Of The Underworld Chapter 5. Each one must find their place in the world to leave their mark on it, while striving to make it just a little brighter with each choice made.
