I like thesm about the same for the reason that I don't care for either opening on my skin (Meow picks up a lot of synthetic smelling pear for me, while this one is like a burst of powder, which I also don't care for lol) But I like both of them! At first I was not sure how I felt about Purr, because initially it's a sweet, peach-dominant fruity floral with a touch of fresh bamboo.

After only about ten minutes it dried down to its base notes of vanilla and coconut which I wouldn't normally tolerate, but as a summer beach fragrance, it's not bad. I prefer scents like this to the "masculine" ones that seem to be meant for the same kinds of conditions/occasions (one just may want to wait for the drydown, if one feels he may be wearing a scent that is too "feminine").If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. The bottle is a bit big and bulky but so cute I love the cat shape, it looks like Katy Perry was inspired by alien by Thierry mugler the bottles are a bit alike.

Top notes are Peach, Red Apple, Gardenia and Bamboo; middle notes are Jasmine, Freesia and Rose; base notes are Vanille, Coconut, Orchid, Musk, Amber and Sandalwood. I am not good at describing perfumes but I feel I smell peach and berries and maybe that is coconut and vanilla. It's a tame, domesticated 'cat' in winter: peaches and soft vanilla (even resembles the original Burberry in the drydown). If you enjoy vanilla (like most others who don't get splitting headaches from it - I know I am in a minute minority) it will not disappoint.It’s definitely a little sharp when first sprayed but after like 10 seconds I start to get the sweetness of the peach and apple mixed with the floral jasmine and freesia. it looks like an alien cat,mean and evil but in person this purple bottle is lovely and I'm very glad to have it in my collection. Katy Perry doesn't take herself too seriously, Purr it is just like that, a little bit of fun and sweetness. On the evenings that are for only you and you alone then you can smell like sweet candy if you so desire. I hate to attach age limits to fragrances because that's stupid, anyone can like whatever smell they want to!

I do admit I bought this primarily for the bottle as I have two cats and LOVE cat paraphernalia (though don't own much as a lot is kind of tacky). Sick of it wife wears it most days as it was a gift it’s originate and she works in a hot sweaty job and as a reault the smell becomes worse it seems cheap not tarty not musky just too synthetic there is no warmth excitement or interest. The kitty collar is also a heart pendant ring that can actually fit on my chubby fingers unlike the ones on the Vera Wang Princess, this is part of the fun actually. I have been migrainous all day, so I was loath to try a perfume--don't want to make my head hurt worse or start to associate pain with a potentially beloved fragrance--but I got too curious and sprayed a single spray (maybe a spray and a half) on the back of my hand. And it's a wild cat in late spring-summer: regardless of what the pyramid says, I hear plum with jasmine and tuberose. After that mellowed I thought I was going to like this, as the coconut and sandalwood started to come through, but then it turned awful again - possibly the rose and/or amber with the vestige of the fruity top notes was just a scrubber. Maybe I got an older bottle or something but the reviews were great so I figured the supplier was legitimate. I consider my mum's fragrance taste sophisticated and she wears more fresh fragrances from Versace and Annick Goutal, but she can also admit when a ridiculously sweet smelling celebrity fragrance smells darn good!

I love cats, and Katy Perry was the female singer of my teenage (along with Avril Lavigne, Rihanna and Lady Gaga).
