A lot of action happens in this book and at one point I feel like I missed so much in one chapter when I got so distracted at work. Soon after they arrive, Mortola, Basta, Orpheus, and a "man built like a wardrobe" barge into Elinor's house, and take Mo, Resa, Elinor, and Darius prisoner. It was very long for an audio, even longer than Inkheart and it was also kind of boring until the last 25% of the book.

Zum Inhalt des Romans möchte ich nicht viel verraten, da es sich hier um einen Folgeband handelt, viele von euch werden ihn jedoch bereits kennen, denn die Bücher waren und sind Bestseller - und das völlig zurecht. I still love Mo - he is one of my faves and his relationship with Meggie was definitely one of my favourite parts of the first book, which I guess is another part of why it took me so long to get into Inkspell as they were separated until the last quarter of the book - although that did make the last quarter very enjoyable. Rereading the Ink trilogy by Cornelia Funke reminded me that I should reread my old faves more often.When he finds a crooked storyteller with the magical ability to read him back, he sets in motion a dangerous reversal that sees the characters of Inkheart transported to a charmed Inkworld, about to be fought over by rival rebels and princes. The ending was meant to be a cliffhanger, but upon closing the book my only thought was “a) my head hurts and b) Who’s going to get poor Mr.
