About this deal

The next important thing is something else he throws at us up front, and I am going to quote it in full because I can speak to the fact that it utterly encapsulates why you should read this book.

Reads like the transcript of the most tedious interview in the history of tedious interviews, conducted by the guy who's credited (on the cover) as having served as editor.Björn Natthiko Lindeblad, a former forest monk in Thailand, relates his experience of training to properly direct his thoughts which can benefit all. We like to think we understand what's happening around us; that we can determine the path our life takes. Life can be very overwhelming, and due to the inherently violent and traumatic nature of society people’s capacities can be very limited. As someone who meditates, and continues to have an attachment to thought, this is something I can very much relate to.

Björn died in January of this year (2022) but the world is a better place for his having been in it. The English translation of the book, titled I May Be Wrong And Other Wisdoms from Life as a Forest Monk, was released on 17 February 2022. There's no dirt to be dished, which I appreciate so much, and there is a lot of Michael and Tiger (like a whole lot), but overall, a solid look at what's going on in the mind of Charles Barkley at any given time. By the end, almost every page was folded and marked ' TELEGRAPH 'A book of some brilliance' DAILY MAIL 'Genuinely stays with you . There’s a lot of wisdom on these pages and I often found myself reading just a couple at a time and then leaving it down for a bit to let it settle.

Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. I didn’t expect it to be a musing on the intersection of race, celebrity, and life as a public figure. As the book asserts that psychological suffering is, in many ways, caused by what’s happening inside of us, the text is arranged with you in mind. It it too bad he does not stick with a point long enough to provide more details or thought-provoking points for the reader.

Infusing the everyday with heart, grace and gentle humour, this is a book to help us all navigate the realities of modern life. Also it was great to read that the monks, and gurus have their own insecurities and character defects that need to be worked on, and despite the efforts of years one can fall again into darkness again! How Emotions Are Preeminent psychologist Lisa Barrett lays out how the brain constructs emotions in a way that could revolutionize psychology, health care, the legal system, and our understanding of the human mind. I read this book a few years ago and it was entertaining, I barely remember any of it, but its Charles! This is the story of how author Björn Natthiko Lindeblad learned to live in the present by silencing his inner voice. How do we have room to carry more and heavier things when all our lives – since the moment we are aware we are conscious – we have been weighed down and scarred by so much?

It teaches us to understand the nature of our suffering, and tells us it is possible to liberate ourselves from that suffering. The title itself is based on a talk given by one of his teachers when he told the class he was going to give them a mantra. I found it interesting how he took the lessons he learnt from his life as a monk back into 'everyday' life in Sweden. And if the discussion leader can be as wise, irreverent, (occasionally) profane and (consistently) funny as Charles Barkley, so much the better. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.I made lots of highlights throughout this book - sentences and paragraphs that I want to go back to, to re-read and think more deeply about.
