The plastic construction seems sufficiently tough, though the launcher pushers look a bit vulnerable. I would say it is a bit expensive for what it is, particularly at the full RRP but if you have a child who loves their cars and will use it then it is a reasonable investment. This is a very good addition to any child’s play time, it is also compatible with other Hot wheel products so potentially the sky’s the limit with add ons over a child’s playtime years.
Next, they can pull the lever to launch the cars to race around the loop to see if they will go through the shark's mouth or straight over. First I should say I have had quite a few of these hot wheels set ups and many of them have been OK but didnt last long this is the exception. Without any add ons then the cars just shoot out onto the floor which is more fun if you have it on a hard floor surface, or as mentioned you can add additional track for them to then move onto other sections - a bit like a train set. If space is at a premium in your home then this is probably not the toy for you as it will not fold up in any way! If your child has a big collection of cars you can park them all up in the mega garage and then play with them.It gives hours of fun and joy to my grandson and also the other grandsons when they come over, they all played for a couple of hours with the Hotwheel sets and cars. There is so many ways to play on this Garage the video does not do it justice, but it gives you some ideas.
If anyone owns this, would they possibly be willing to take a picture of the bottom of the base with the cover plate under the launcher handle removed? No batteries are required because there are no light or sound effects and the action is manual including the catapult launchers. The lever you pull to release the cars and send them flying round the loop the loop is extremely loud. A. We recommend using alkaline batteries with our products, as they are great for long-term use and help optimize performance.
Apart from the obvious highlight of the set for my Son there is also a lift which can fit two cars, multiple car parking spaces, a large jump, loop area and garage section. I remember when I was a young child (many, many years ago) receiving Hot Wheels cars and tracks and played with my brother for hours. Then rev your engines and pull back the launcher to take on the biggest double lane loop in Hot Wheels™ City. Take a drive through the Hot Wheels City parking garage but beware the dangerous shark that attacks and eats unsuspecting vehicles. Full assembly instructions are included and though fiddly, the garage isn't too difficult to put together but; it's absolutely huge once built.
