About this deal

The daily routine is an intense workout that does offer up a bit of a breather during the exercises, but mostly barrels full steam ahead for the duration of the exercises. The default coach is Lin, and there is a total of 5 other coaches (3 female and 2 male), each with customizable appearances. But it wasn’t until Wii Fit came out back in 2007 that fitness games would become a whole lot more than just a simple gimmick.

This time the game has a whole host of achievements for performing certain routines, hitting more manageable milestones and even things like customising your instructors or simply choosing them for the first time. In this world of COVID-19, it would’ve been fantastic to be able to play with a friend and keep each other motivated while stuck inside. In the first game, instructor outfits were unlocked when you hit certain milestones, but some of these were frankly ridiculous: throwing a total of 198,000 punches to unlock a new top felt ever so slightly disproportionate.I've been playing the FB2 demo and restarting it everyday with a new User account and playing through all the 10 uses. Work out at home and punch to the beatJab, uppercut, dodge, and more to catchy pop tunes in this rhythmic boxing game! Luckily, there is an option to remove specific actions within Daily Workout, though it only lists half of the available movements. This mode has been incredibly useful for me, especially during actions that makes me unbalanced due to my dyspraxia, I also appreciate that the game asks if you wish to practice if you play a workout with an action you haven’t done before or if you have a habit of missing a particular movement. With something like Ring Fit Adventure, the variety of exercises and madcap storyline drew me back in time and time again, and in comparison Fitness Boxing 2 just feels flat.

However, there’s a way to remedy this: if you’re looking to supplement your workouts with additional cardio, Fitness Boxing 2 is a possible solution. If, when throwing punches, the game thinks you aren’t quite hitting the mark, it may be worth checking out Fitness Boxing’s timing settings to solve any delays that your TV and speakers could be causing. Fitness Boxing 2 is a good alternative to Ring Fit Adventure if you don't want any additional equipment. The problem is simply that there isn’t enough variety here, and while there are a series of different workouts to unlock, they’re all the same sort of thing. These icons represent different actions and while early on it’s fairly straightforward stuff like jabs, straights, hooks and uppercuts, eventually it throws in ducking, weaving, blocking, stepping and the like. This game replicates most of what I was doing (basic striking, I'm no boxer, it was purely just to have a little variety outside of the usual workouts). As long as you’re engaged and in form, you don’t have to be terribly precise to nail the boxes and get that satisfying Joy-Con HD rumble. There are plenty of ways to change how hard a workout is, and while increasing the length of said workout is one of them, it’s important to include others, like the intensity.
