Envii Algae Klear Xtra is a pond algae treatment that kills algae and blanket weed for good, within 2 weeks. I have used Envii many times over the last few years, particularly their pond products which work really well. On investigating, what it found was that those ponds where the treatments were ineffectual had pH and KH levels way outside of levels required for functioning nitrification — biofiltration struggles where hardness is excessively low, and in acidic conditions.

One of the main reasons pond algae is so prevalent in man made ponds it that there is an improper plant-fish balance. however after nearly 50 yrs in the game some brands do appear to be emerging as effective for most and I must admit I have my favourites . This is within an acceptable range and it does not appear to be significantly affecting the overall rating for this product.

All I can say is that myself and several other members here use them effectively in our ponds, and we are fussy people who avoid many chemicals and are generally cautious.Other treatments sink particles to the bottom of the pond that over time, float back up into the water column. I have not scored 5 stars as I am just starting to use the pond treatments so cannot rate on how effective they are yet.
