Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good dark mafia romance. I knew he was a bad man, but I never would have anticipated this… This dark romance is the first in a three-book series. Self confidence: I know almost everyone suffers from no self confidence but this for sure applies to me to. And if the pregnancy trope is a deal breaker for you she doesn't end up pregnant at the end of this book. Once she reaches the kitchen she looks out the glass door to see Tatum's dad (who she's always had a crush on) going to town with a woman by the pool.

Even though there is an age gap, I didn't feel that in the maturity level, They are very much a par.The male MC is dislikable in literally every way (and the voice actor constantly sounds like he’s talking through gritted teeth). Overall, this book has drama, spice, and a very overprotective, controlling, hooottt mafia man who would burn the world for his girl. It's the FMC having a crush on her best friend's dad who's an arms dealer and he becomes obsessed with her.

I feel like in most mafia books the fmc struggles for a chapter with the fact that their love interest unalives people for a living and then it's never mentioned again. That cliffhanger was not something I expected, I can’t wait for the next installment and to see what happens next.
