I have to say, I’m really impressed with the Deebot Ozmo and our little robot Doris has become one of my most used gadgets! If you have a pet as well, and you set the vacuum to work on its own, consider creating this barrier. If you have a lot of high-pile carpets, or a pet that sheds heavily, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 920 might not reach your expectations because it does not have a strong suction power compared to other vacuums. In spite of the laser platform on top (which only increases its height by a couple of centimetres – the cleaner is 10cm high in total and about 34cm in diameter), the 920 was still low enough to get under all of the furniture in my home.

With its wet mopping function and versatile cleaning programs, it is a practical choice for maintaining cleanliness on both carpeted and hard floor surfaces. And you can empty the bin right from the top — which is a nice feature as you don't have to turn the vacuum over to get at what it's swept up from your floor. First off, it has a raised platform on top, from which vantage point lasers survey and map your home to seek out and eliminate under-sofa dust bunnies.

What's nice about the Deebot Ozmo 920 is you can use this as a dumb machine too — meaning, you don't need the app to get the vacuum working. The ECOVACS Deebot Ozmo 920 is a robot vacuum cleaner that offers a wet mopping function, making it suitable for a variety of floor surfaces including carpet and hard floors. It seems like the brush bristles are a little soft for continuous use on carpets and will need replacing more often than other brands of robot. As we mentioned in our descriptions of both, we think they're fairly equal on a lot of fronts, particularly their mopping ability.

It uses Lidar, a method of detecting distance by illuminating a target with a laser and measuring reflected light with a sensor. The vacuum comes with a reusable microfiber mopping cloth and several disposable ones, along with a cloth plate to which they attach.
