About this deal

But she gets there she is found out not only by the journalists but also her ex-fiancé Alex, wanting to find out the truth of what went on with her parents that fatal day. There was not, however, any reference to lavender, or to an obscure art/craft, which I was slightly disappointed by, though I soon got over it. Henry and Elizabeth’s marriage and Martin’s obsession with Nancy illustrate how control and coercion are not simply modern-day constructs. If you love a good murder, mystery, addictive thriller then get yourself a copy of this now you will not be disappointed.

Jane Corry seems to make each chapter end on a thrilling moment which made me want to read on to find out what happens next. Elizabeth and Adeline’s story takes place during the second world war, when residents of the coastal village felt in danger of a German invasion. This often hair-raising experience helped inspire her Sunday Times -bestselling psychological dramas, of which she has now sold over a million copies worldwide. I know by now that any book by Jane Corry is bound to be a good one, so it is no surprise that Coming to Find You did not disappoint. As the story progresses the two stories link, bringing both the history of Elizabeth and what happened between 1941 -1945 and then for a few years later. While at the house some memories from the past come back to haunt her, and Martin isn't happy that she's moved away and won't visit.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review! In addition, she is a regular contributor to The Daily Telegraph and speaks at literary festivals all over the world. Once again Jane Corry has written a compelling and tension-filled novel with many serious themes running throughout. I was excited to learn about carriers of a Fairbairn-Sykes knife, HMP Knockton, why there were no station announcements or signs on train travel during the war, and about dead letter boxes. It is a mystery and eventually the two time periods are connected but I would recommend this more for my historical fiction lovers rather than twisty thriller lovers. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by how gripping and entertaining they are, and have now read every single one. Her life has changed completely, she has be careful who she can trust and her hopes to lay low and avoid the press are thwarted – it seems the house may not be the safe haven she expected. This novel is told from the points of view of Nancy whose stepbrother Martin has just been imprisoned for murdering her mother and stepfather (Martin's father).

I have read several books by this author and as I have said before, the books are not normally the type I would choose, however whenever I start reading one, I get hooked every time. the story unfolded in both eras at the same time, flitting seamlessly between them, bring together the characters from both eras and their interrelationships. The book is sold solely on the storyline set on the present day events with no mention of the WW2 story which takes up over half the book. This often hair-raising experience helped inspire her Sunday Times-bestselling psychological dramas, of which she has now sold over a million copies worldwide.
