About this deal

Dior may have a longer history of pissing off loyal fragrance devotees with its reformulations, renaming and flanker-proliferation antics, but with Coco Noir, it looks like Chanel caught the same corporatist cancer that Dior did. At first I can definitely smell the grapefruit which then softens down to the rose and narcissus and finally the patchouli. Coco Mad for the light fruitchouli (though it avoids being so sweet or fresh), Allure for the hint of warm spices (Coo Noir avoids the pungent eye-stinging clove present in Coco), and that dry down is a classic No.

I wanted to continue exploring an entire esthetic range of CHANEL perfumery, a range that distinguishes itself from the Florals, one that is illustrated by Bois-des-Iles and Cuir de Russie. What's the point of releasing a parfum that doesn't last at least until lunch and that nobody can smell? It was the first one I bought because I was becoming intrigued by this oriental-adjacent, aldehydic character that seemed to serve as an accessible point of entry leading towards what I thought of as vintage fragrances. The citrus here is a sharper, more piquant grapefruit, in contrast to the sweet orange of Madmoiselle. Before this, I didn’t understand how CM could be a flanker to the original; they seemed so different. As an initial start, I would recommend having CM and would try the CN for late hours maybe, for a night date etc while the CM is more energetic, youthful and prominent.

this smells great, wears well, lasts for ages, especially on clothes and has earned plenty of compliments. With the Chanel Coco Noir, I don’t feel like I have 100% found the perfume that I think will be a ride or die. Don't think I'd reach out for this one often unless I need a boost of confidence and when I want to feel more feminine. Filled with promises, a generous heart gradually reveals the striking sensuality of Rose and the remarkable note of Geranium Rose Leaf. The dry down is magnificent, patchouli, lots of it as you know, musk, resins, vanilla and sandalwood.

Really wanted to continue liking this fragrance as much as the first hour of wearing it but patchouli had to come and ruin all the ambery vibe of it for me. My apologies dear reader I forgot I was wearing another perfume at time as I could no longer smell it on me. I've been after the original Coco for months but a while ago I decided to try this for the colder weather and maybe trade it if I didn't like it as much as I remembered. I hope that you guys liked this blog post; getting to learn a little bit more about this amazing Chanel Coco Noir perfume. It does have some similarity to Mademoiselle in the beginning, but then it starts playing and becomes so interesting!By its nature, it cannot be categorized as carefree and modest scents, it is rather a rich evening chic, alluring and enigmatic, the essence of a woman herself.

It’s sort of a very spicy oriental that melts into a coffee and smells a wee bit fruity with musk undertones. He says its versatile in a way that it smells like a little bit of everything, and I couldn't agree more.Something about this reminds me of the long discontinued Aviance Night Musk which is a very good thing. It definitely has some Coco Mademoiselle in the opening, but it's so much spicier and richer that nobody would confuse the two. When I first apply Coco Noir, and I know this might sound odd to some, but I get a very prominent whiff of vintage (and awesome) Magie Noire :) Coco used to be a Powerhouse, but of course since the 80's it has been reformulated. I love Chanel perfumes and I'd seen a few influencers rave about this so instead of testing this on a card first, I went and sprayed it on my wrists - being so sure I would love it. I love this perfume however it doesn't last at all maybe an 1hr or so Not sure if some ingridients were taken off , But it's sad that perfumes are smelling cheap and not lasting now a days.
