I do think that there’s a fundamental difference in how Yuu and Sayaka love Touko, which is not necessarily stated (maybe a little in this volume) but has been present throughout the series. To be honest, I was quite surprised by how much I liked this volume, and it totally held up on a second reading as well. There’s a bit about the relationship between the teacher and the bar owner and how their relationship started.LGBTQ+ representation (0-5): 2 - I'm going to give this some extra loving because of the flashback with Hakozaki-sensei and Miyako that really feels like adult lesbians that exist in the real world and not just fantasy yuri decontextualized from society.

Touko, sad about Yuu, actually shows that she's sad to others, and admits that she's depressed when they ask. In another part of the flashback, Miyako assumes that Hakozaki was only drunk and wasn't really interested in women and avoids her. This was a very well written moment by the author and the way she wrote the scene was very thoughtful and sensitive.

I want desperately to give you the benefit of the doubt, but if you ask me what stories like this are out there, you will remove all doubt as to your fetish and I find that grotesque. You have me wondering what specific thing you mean about the translation (though I have my suspicions — there’s a moment that I think captures Sayaka’s voice perfectly).
