About this deal

This is a circular walk from the Beacon Hill National Nature Reserve on the South Downs, near Warnford in Hampshire. Nutcatches only have one species in the UK, and have been known to grace the woods with their splendid colours and loud birdsong. These adverts enable local businesses to get in front of their target audience – the local community.

The oak and birch trees look remarkable scattered across the area, but many of the birds that arrive here are ground-nesting and use the heather for cover.

This superbly illustrated book has been written with the object of stimulating people's interest in the wildlife and countryside of the South Downs National Park, not simply by highlighting some special plants and animals, but by giving readers a greater understanding of the evolution of the wild places, the history of nature conservation and the management of habitats and species. This celebration of their wildlife heritage is a showcase for some of the most beautiful, fascinating and inspiring species and habitats to be found on land and at sea. Hampshire’s coastline supports substantial colonies of breeding Black-headed Gulls, Sandwich Terns and Little Terns, and in winter, the harbours are taken over by vast numbers of migratory waders and wildfowl, including internationally significant numbers of Brent Geese, Grey Plover, Dunlin, Black-tailed Godwit and many other species.

B Species that were recorded in an apparently natural state at least once between 1 January 1800 and 31 December 1949, but have not been recorded subsequently. ALL types of mobility problem are assumed so there are details of path surfaces, gradients and distances as well as benches and hide details.
