When Thomas is asked to help at the animal park, he soon realises there's more to the job than he first thought. The adventure itself is straight up and down, well-trodden level one Dungeons and Dragons fare – a rescue mission in a mad alchemist’s lair that’ll see your paw-footed party sneaking through a sewer, battling undead critters, and investigating rooms in the headquarters of the dastardly… sigh… Doktor Krankensteen.In this box set if you cast spells as many times as you like then the game becomes unbalanced and the wizard/sorcerer can just blast everything. Because the animals are happy and their welfare is put first, it was really noticeable how much more interactive they were to animals seen at busier and more ‘commercial’ farms/zoos. The included adventure kicks off with some instant action to draw you in then gives plenty of convenient opportunities to roleplay before diving back into the thick of it again. I would recommend this for anyone who likes TTRPG or who wants to dip their toe into TTRPG without joining a campaign.

Looking through the contents, i was pleased to find a very detailed set of hero miniatures in grey plastic, once painted they will look the dogs doodahs.The Gamemaster screen may be my favorite GM screen because instead of heavy tagboard, it’s actually like traditional board game thickness.
