There is nothing sweet about Rare Carbon, which is good - it allows the quality of the ingredients used to be placed on full display. The leather is less pronounced than the round slightly sweet one in OL EDP and definitely not as pronounced as the much dryer leather in OL Parfum. To me Tom Ford Ombre Leather is clone of Shumoukh Al Ghutra , because TFOL came after the Shumoukh Al Ghutra, TFOL last less than 4h while Shumoukh last for numbers of days. I was sadly disappointed when I received this as although you can tell it's meant to smell like Ombre Leather, it just doesn't have the same smoothness nor the gentle blend between the leather and sweetness of the TF.
