About this deal

This volume shows that the contribution of the social sciences is decisive for understanding the changes of the role and insertion of armed forces in their political, social and professional environment. Mazzarella examines the contemporary merger of consumer brand and political brand and the cross-contamination of politics and economics, warning against all too easy laments about the corruption of politics by marketing. I'm grateful that Ryan Michler pulled it together, but apart from the military tactics, I've heard it better said by Stoicism commentators. OWN AFFILIATION: I am an editor/contributor to this book or another book in the Series (where applicable) and/or on the Editorial Board of the Series, of which this volume is part. I felt like the beginning of this book was great and was excited to read about Ryan’s thoughts on being a sovereign man.

When we attempt to isolate ourselves and shield our experiences, thoughts, and emotions from others, we limit our growth and expansion. This book details all the documents that will help you get on the right path to understanding how the system, which is designed to enslave you, works. this book is as much about doing as it is about reading-if you want to do something in this life-stop dreaming and just try. If you’re a man (or woman) who wants to take control of your life and future then this is the book for you.

Though, certain points don't need elaboration and Ryan tends to keep dragging on certain lessons and their implications in life. The Anthropocene thesis contends that human impact on the environment has become so extreme that the earth system as a whole has been tipped into a new state. Every man is born with just one his sovereignty - his power to respond to his environment and his circumstances. Although a man may never be caught in his indiscretion, the consequences of a guilty conscience and a heavy heart are equally, if not more, damaging to a man’s freedom and liberty. Due to Canfield's selected methodology and active participation in the FS struggle, presented perspectives feel personal, giving you insights on why the FS movement is important to many.

Not only does this books "path" to life reside in much better written books, "unf*ck yourself" and "the subtle art of not giving a f*ck", but it has a tendency to contradict and reiterate the same points, over and over.Ryan comes across not as a learned scholar (a la Jordan Peterson in 12 Rules for Life) or some hollow ideologue/influencer (we all know them for their trademark loquaciousness without any citations or credibility) but as that slightly more motivated peer we all know, which makes Ryan all the more relatable and his challenges seem attainable. If you are interested in how to be a good man or ,as the author quotes Jack Donovan, “how to be good at being a man”, then this is for you! I purchased this book based on a recommendation from a friend, who sold it to me as “What it is to be a man. Provides a great background and explanation of the ‘theory’ and then an excellent overview of how to execute (battle plan). As a whole, I was a little disappointed by the writing style in the book, but I thought that Ryan’s message was absolutely SPOT ON!
