Speaking of, it was so wonderfully refreshing how diverse this book was, and how diversity was an active discussion in the book. Told through Helen’s narrative and letters to her mum, this story really sees a birds eye view of Helen’s hectic life living with the Gods. What I loved about Oh My Gods was that Sheppard had centered such a unique voice to tell this story.These are minor things I picked up on but they didn’t impact my enjoyment at all, just some things for the author to bear in mind in her next book. But something about the cover image of this book made me take off the dust jacket before venturing out with the book.
