About this deal
I am tempted to dissect a copy and scan it into several PDF files to make it more manageable for daily travel ~ (maybe on a monthly or seasonal basis) - Unfortunately it is not offered in any e-formats of PDF or Kindle versions to my knowlege. In this wonderful tradition, people gather together (if possible) morning, noon and evening to pray through a a collection of prayers, Scriptures and meditations.
When there is no information about the particular needs of the persons, families and situations brought to mind, the following prayer is helpful: These dear ones, O Lord, bless Thou and keep in every place where they are. Also available are Braille, Large Print (18 pt) and Giant Print (24pt) versions of the words of the Office and a separate booklet with the words of the Meditations from Celtic Daily Prayer Book 2.This book combines our earlier Celtic Daily Prayer and Celtic Night Prayer books, and adds to them fresh material born out of the further development of the Northumbria Community’s ways of worship in the intervening years since these books were published. We load an article each month entitled Daily Readings during…… which provides information on the selected readings for the current month.
This compilation of said and sung liturgies makes the Northumbria Community's 'Daily Office available to a wide audience.
As a companion for the journey, this book offers meditations for the events of life, and liturgies for its seasons. Many (especially those whose church tradition usually scorns such gestures) find that making the sign of the cross at this juncture helps to reinforce the significance of the words.
