About this deal

The musician and actor has signed a two-book deal with publisher Harper Collins, the first of which will arrive on November 9.

Spectacular Bodies: the Art and Science of the Human Body from Leonardo to Now at the Hayward Gallery, London (2001) (curated with Marina Wallace) [25] A review of the exhibition catalogue described it as "a fascinating overview of the efforts over the past five centuries to understand the body through the intersecting lenses of art and science". Professor Kemp's most recent books are Art in History (Profile Books, 2014), Mona Lisa with Giuseppe Pallanti (Oxford University Press, 2017) and Living with Leonardo (Thames and Hudson, 2018). For the first time, fans and readers will have an insight into their journey together, the lessons they have learned in the spotlight and behind the scenes, and their secrets to success, happiness and raising a loving family. My family and I stand arm in arm around our Formica kitchen table, counting down to the new decade with each televised chime of Big Ben.

I think it is that sense of camaraderie, it's the end of the day, people want to be cheered up and they want to spend some time with some decent folk on the radio! Mark shared why he loves his show, saying: "Radio is intimate, it is a companion and there with you through life's highs and life's challenges – and Greatest Hits Radio will bring back the memories of the important times in our lives. So, grab that glass of Babycham and let’s toast the very best of the 80s: the creativity and the culture, the fashion and the FUN!Kemp and his wife Shirlie released a joint biography, A Love Story, in 2020 and he released a second memoir, Ticket to the World: My 80s Story, in 2022. The Science of Art: Optical Themes in Western Art From Brunelleschi to Seurat by Martin Kemp (review)". The book follows Johnny Klein, a fallen 1980s pop star who has lost everything, and as Martin explains, it's a character he's 'carried' with him for many years. Dragged down into London’s dark underbelly, Johnny discovers there is more at stake than his own shattered ego – and finds that while the party might be over, there’s no escape from his past.

It has been confirmed that Martin has signed a two book deal with publishers Harper Collins, so we can expect another book from the Greatest Hits Radio presenter. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The book will uncover the personal highs and lows of Britain's favourite couple, and the unbreakable bond that has kept them strong, no matter how hard the fight gets.

a] From 1960 to 1963, he studied natural sciences and art history at Downing College, Cambridge [b] and the history of Western Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London from 1963 to 1965. You kind of know what an awful lot of people are doing, it's the end of most people's day, they're doing some final bits of work, they're shutting the laptop, they're doing a bit of food preparation, they're driving home. Johnny Klein is a rock casualty, a fallen 1980s popstar who has lost everything — his family, his money and his fame. I should note that quite often he says ‘we’ instead of ‘I’, referring to the main topic of the book – the Blitz Kids / New Romantics. Speaking about the new book, Martin said: "I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am releasing my first novel with Harper Collins.

Per chi ha amato e ama gli Spandau Ballet, Martin descrive Londra in quegli anni, i club, tutto corredato da foto dei grandi artisti inglesi di quell'epoca come George Michael, Boy George. The show is made up of hand-picked tracks from the 70s, 80s and 90s to get you ready for the weekend. He said that as soon as he viewed the painting, he recognised the presence and "uncanny strangeness" of da Vinci's works. Greatest Hits Radio presenter Martin Kemp has announced he will be releasing his debut novel later this year. Kemp was Professor of Art History at the University of Oxford from 1995 to 2008, during which he helped create the Centre for Visual Studies, which opened in 1999.

I'll give you TV recommendations for your weekend, there's always a slow dance at the end, and I turn the decks over to you to pick your favourite songs. The painting was sold in 2017, setting a new record for the most expensive painting ever sold at public auction. Bradley said: “Martin is a cultural icon who has created a fictional alter-ego in Johnny Klein who is completely unforgettable. Kate Bradley, publishing director at Harper Fiction, added: "We feel hugely privileged and excited to welcome Martin Kemp to the Harper Fiction list. For more than 25 years he was based in Scotland where from 1966 to 1981 he was a lecturer at University of Glasgow and Professor of Fine Arts from 1981 to 1990 and Professor of the History and Theory of Art from 1990 to 1995 at University of St Andrews.
