About this deal

Apply with a ‘putting on’ brush and buff vigorously into the surface of the leather, pay special attention to putting Leder-Gris into seams and areas where the boot flexes. Xtreme should only be used for restorative purposes - not daily and can also be used on hard leathers to help soften them. However, correct and constant use of Leder-Gris will extend the time before which flex cracking will occur. Packages to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and BFPO addresses are sent by First Class Royal Mail or International Parcel Force unless otherwise specified.I think the recent financial crisis and recession has shown how short sighted we were in England when we closed down key exporting companies such as the Pittards tannery in Leeds. A brand new formula has been developed by recognised military boots brand Altberg, the Leder Gris wax is designed to be better than standard wax polishes.

Not only is cleaning military boots important for public patrols, but overall maintenance will keep your uniform looking good for longer. Preserve the shine and quality of your military boots with Altberg Leder Gris brown boot wax, the traditional choice for modern leathers. The company was a PLC, and as the new millennium property boom began to get up a 'full head of steam' the land the tannery was on became 'apparently' worth more than the tannery itself, and so the last British Tannery making top quality water repellent (WR100) boot leather was shut down. Leder Gris wax also helps to prevent general wear and tear like cracking leather, so your footwear is more likely to last.

Don’t forget to pay extra attention to the stitching, this helps avoid abrasion of the stitched seams and sustains waterproofing. Leder Gris® is a waterproof wax for use in tough wet conditions it is a mixture of 70% wax and 30% oil.

We regret to say that we are unable to change the address or postcode on a parcel once it has been despatched. The moment its applied it provides waterproof for your military boot, and as time moves on the oil goes deeper into the leather and helps maintains the leathers suppleness - this is the common reason the leather starts to crack is when the leather is dry and has relatively no oil content left. Altberg Leder Gris wax works on two levels, allowing wax to remain on the surface to increase the natural resistance of your army boots. These bootcare products had been developed many years previously for leathers tanned in the old way, however, the new water repellent boot leathers were different - and although these bootcare products were acceptable on some leathers - they had a tendency to neutralise the water repellent components tanned into the more modern WR100/Anfibio/Hydro type leathers. If leather oils are not replaced, then boots will be more likely to show signs of flex cracking earlier.

If leather shows signs of hardening, or after use in extreme wet conditions, use Leder-Gris® Xtreme as a ‘one-off’ treatment.

When buffed strongly it will give a higher shine at the toe and heel, after repeated and successive use. Leder-Gris® Xtreme, if used at an early stage, can help delay flex cracking, however, if hardening is too advanced then it is less effective. The oil goes deeper into the leather, and helps to maintain the leather’s suppleness by replacing leather oils lost during the drying out process. Please don't send a possible faulty or warranty product back without completing the claim form first, as we are unable to refund your postage if you do.
