Super easy to assemble and far more creative than your standard shelving unit, our Stratford Shelves tick all the boxes in the both the styling and practicality departments. The only reason I ask is because I thinking about installing two of these above a very nice tv vs a long mantle shelf. Position the folded leather on a scrap block of wood, then slowly drill a hole through both layers of leather, making sure the top edges stay aligned. As it is a natural material, there will be slight differences to the colour and appearance to the leather.I mean, we sourced the shelf from recycled pallet wood and the leather strap was originally bought for making a belt. The quality of adjustable jute rope is sturdy and enables you to fit on the wall easily, no complicated tools are needed. I love the idea of having them in a kitchen with mugs or glasses on, but they would also be great either side of a bed with an industrial lamp clipped onto them and a few books or magazines.
