About this deal

The dedicated LEDs provides you with visual confirmation, taking the guesswork out of which device you are using. Custom EQ presets allows you to control how different devices sound when they are plugged into the speakers. By preventing the driver from flexing, they reduce the amount of distortion the driver introduces to the audio being played. This delivers a powerful sound performance, perfect for capturing each and every nuance from turntables. Use the Phono connection to hook up a turntable or use the RCA to hook up your TV or Blu-Ray player.

Kanto TUK Speakers use Air Motion Transformer tweeter design, which provides an improved movement of air due to the pleated construction of the tweeter and increased surface area.A place where the colorful and dramatic dance of the Aurora Borealis offers a thrilling experience—one that we've sought to emulate with sound. This song is just a bass guitar (in a live setting though, with noise from people moving about and such) and, once again, the Kantos hit every note with ease, and sound good while doing it.

Everything is tested by our dedicated team of in-house reviewers in our custom-built test rooms in London, Reading and Bath. Some specifications from Kanto: The Tuk’s frequency range is 50Hz-20kHz, and its class-D amplifier delivers 130W total RMS, 260W peak. makes a more substantial difference on battery-powered devices due to its lower power consumption, however, I can see some wanting the latest standard on a more premium speaker as it does offer more range. Suffice it to say they did a great job of transferring the signal to the headphones in a very straightforward and fairly uncolored way.Nonetheless, Apt-X HD and AAC are both supported which offer a very noticeable step up in quality over SBC. The company’s diminutive, wireless YU5 model even graced the White House sound system during Barack Obama's tenure. Let’s loop back around to bass notes and talk about “A Miniature of the Bass” by 52nd Street Blues Project.

Offered only in matte white and black, they are smoothly formed and stunningly minimal with no obnoxious branding, graphics or non-functional accents. Kanto TUK Speakers are stereo compact bookshelf speakers with built in Bluetooth designed to deliver exceptional audio from your devices such as a vinyl player, desktop computer or hi-fi system. The Tuks’ reproduction of soundstages amazed me: broad and deep, and never seeming to come directly from the speakers. However, the overall balance isn’t quite right; the bass registers are reticent and not nearly as stirring as they should be while the midrange lacks projection and solidity.TUK - Matte White use AMT tweeters which are incredibly lightweight, allowing them to react faster than standard dome tweeters. e. using the speaker’s own subwoofer output’s roll-off) versus using the subwoofer’s crossover roll-off, I find the TUK’s subwoofer output is best. Hold the “Treble Reset” button for five seconds to disable APU, or hold the “Bass Reset” button for five seconds to disable APD.

I would highly recommend purchasing stands with a height that places the tweeters at ear level for greatest fidelity since treble is more directional than other frequencies. This buoyant ballet opens with pounding timpani that lead to a brilliant brass fanfare, followed by raucous castanets interrupted by resounding handclaps and shouts. It subverts what you may expect, delivering powerful bass but also an energetic and detailed top end. Kanto TUK's sophisticated design, available in both matte black and white finishes, adds a touch of class to any living space. The TUKs, however, easily produce nice stereo separation, so placement within the several rooms I tested was fairly simple.

I know this recording well, from the first stereo LP to the CD editions of later decades, and what I heard through my headphones plugged into the Tuks was tonally neutral and uncongested, suggesting that Kanto’s headphone amp is powerful. While the album has been panned by a few as being uneven compared to their freshman effort, I find that this track acquits itself well. The TUKs were not only up for the task, but handled the track with an amount of restraint and poise I was not quite expecting. I use the TUK’s alongside a projector necessitating a dark room where bright front-facing LEDs can be quite obnoxious. RCA, and more input options, the Kanto TUK Powered Bookshelf Speakers seamlessly connect to all your devices.
