About this deal

Translated to "Magic of Words," I feel like a seductive sorcerer that is casting a spell on those around me just by wearing this.

And so it is, only in warm weather I myself am able to fully enjoy all the different facets of the fragrance. It begins with a honey accord, a tobacco leaf-ish thing, frankincense, myrrh, and something that smells vaguely like sweet oud. We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved. The berry note is interesting because, to my nose, it smells identical to the blueberry purée that the original Kalemat opens with, along with the merest whiff of something verging on raspberry. But Kalemat Black is ofcourse darker deeper and masculinized with lots of smokiness and abit of oud. The note feels as arid and scratchy as a Brillo pad, and in that sense is a bit metallic and steely too. The dry down is more of a rudimentary, syrupy amber—the kind you find in Interlude—and it stays with your for the long haul. When the leather and cinnamon arrive the oud then mellows and mingles with them to create a different perfume than what you started with all together and both are great! However, I must emphasize that I personally think the two fragrances are extremely different if you take out the smokiness issue.

Okay firstly as usual I'm not one to hype up a fragrance I'll always just give it to you straight, that being said this is honestly the most nuclear fragrance I have tested.com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US. The only element from your review that has me somewhat apprehensive is the ‘steely’ or metalic facets mentioned – that frightens me somewhat. Now, as I repeat often, my skin amplifies base elements and sweetness, so that is perhaps the cause, as Sehr el Kalemat is not generally a super-sweet (let alone a gourmand) fragrance for most of its life.

Projection - as is the case with all good oud fragrances - is of course insanely strong, while longevity is unbelievable at over 12 hours with only 1 spray!Quite honestly, and in all candour, I don’t know what to make of it myself, or even how I feel most of the time about this very odd variation of Kalemat. If you ever use the Zahra site, be warned that almost all their perfume notes and descriptions seem to be incorrect. Arabian Oud Kalemat Black (Seher/Sehr Al Kalemat) is very similar to the original Kalemat, but to my nose, it has a bit of a darker vibe, almost dirty like black tar. I don't dare to press all the way down on the sprayer, just a very light spray on the wrist and neck is all I need. I think Arabian Oud has a typo with the smaller size listed in the description of the perfume’s notes, as all other vendors have the perfume listed as being 100 ml.

I've had other favorite fragrances where I just indulge myself in the scent upon first sniff, but this was different. Even though it's sweet and very intoxicating in a good way yet at the same time ( this amazes me ) it doesn't get cloying at all! I have oils from all over the oud regions, and let me tell you this stuff has the most, and strongest real oud in any EDP I have ever smelled. After a few hours the vanilla gently resides to give place to Arabian Oud's familiar mouth watering, glowing, thick ambery notes ingeniously balanced by tamed smoky oud. It projects heavy within the first 4 hours and then stays for days on your cloth with mild projection.Kalemat Black is like a dark chocolate truffle mixed with beautifully aged red wine that is baking in the oven. To me, it has the characteristics of guaiac wood: singed woods with an aroma like that of burnt leaves in a large autumnal bonfire.
