I honestly had no interest in reading this book but my friend had the paperback and I don't read printed copies so often. There are some incredibly good quotes in this book, and I love how the writing subsides with the metaphors because Juliette isn't entirely crazy anymore. She’s finally capable of forming her own opinions and she doesn’t take – forgive me my crude choice of words – shit anymore!

And most importantly AARON WARNER BLUSHED in this book 😭💗💗 he really can be sweet and adorable when he wants to.After reading this book, I have one thousand and one thoughts running inside, trying to escape out of my head. He was so glad to see Juliette in the beginning and she was explaining everything and it was mostly good, but Warner shows up. Bullets are raining down, but of course she’s okay because of the suit and her skin and she’s just kicking in doors. Mafi unveils the tragic effects of war; these revelations, along with the high-octane battles and a narrative that traces the growing empowerment of her characters, bring this trilogy to a strong and blazing finish.

It picks up where Unravel Me left off and you jump right back into the story, which was a bit much, but at least I didn’t have to wait through a long introduction. I really wish there would be more Kenji’s out in the world and I truly hope that Kenji finds true love in the next book. Juliette sees him sitting with Alia in the training room some days and realizes that that is the kind of person he wants, someone quiet, shy, and normal, which she is not.Now he has always has a lot of respect for Juliette and yet again in this book it just shows how much Aaron really cares for her. What did he expect when he acted like a controlling monster, made her believe she killed a toddler, and shot one of his soldiers in front of her? to be honest, at the end, i was 100% expecting it to be him and not that random blonde guy (iykyk, i’m trying not to spoil). There is romance, drama, tension, war, love, friendship, freedom, found family thing, character development and so much in this one and I ate that shit up. Before that I thought he was the bad guy that didn’t know what love was…how the tables turn in her books.
