I managed to get my hands on PBT Islander from TKC when they had extras available, and I put them on the GMMK TKL that I put together. The chassis itself does not sit too high, so it's more comfortable to use, even without a wrist rest. If you decide to pick up a Barebone Edition GMMK, I would definitely recommend the Glorious Panda switches to go along with them. The GLORIOUS has a hot-swap board that allows quick-release of the switches, so it's easier to customize to your needs. Both are compatible with easy-to-use customization software to remap keys, set macros, and adjust the backlighting.

We've also introduced a new Raw Performance usage and adjusted how the Gaming and Office usage scores are calculated.Great quality keyboard with lots of customization options to make it feel/sound and look exactly how you want it. The GLORIOUS is a wired keyboard, while the Keychron is wireless via Bluetooth and can be paired with up to three different devices. And just note that the GMMK is plate mounted, so the hot-swap sockets have enough holes for 3-pin switches.

The Ducky comes with better PBT keycaps that feel thicker, and it provides a better typing experience overall. I enjoy feeling and hearing each and every keystroke as I type, and I love the ability to customize my keyboard to suit my own aesthetics and taste, even as they change. Whether you are a full on effects person or just a mono-colour person, there a setting and colour that will appeal to you. Overall, the GMMK is a great mechanical keyboard for beginners, whether you want something prebuilt or fully customized from the get-go. There is still some issue though such as the keyswitches at some place do pop out while removing the keycaps especially if the caps are a tight fit and the SMD LEDs though they are quite bright they tend to get too diffused with the switches and caps in place. The keycaps are pretty good,again i had the same in my tecware, you find those abs double shot keycaps in a lot of keyboards. Paired successfully to Windows with Bluetooth dongle and a MacBook Pro onboard Bluetooth and no latency or lost keys in my usage. While this keyboard is fully compatible with Windows, there are a few non-alphanumerical keys that don't work on macOS or Linux. If you absolutely need your mechanical keyboard to work seamlessly with macOS, and you want wireless Bluetooth capabilities to boot, then I'd recommend a Keychron. It has a fairly low profile, and the front edge is very thin, so some people might not need a wrist rest. Just keep in mind that if you are going to use this for macOS, the function row keys may not be the same as what you're used to, and media playback requires the fn key.We reviewed the full-size model, but expect most of the review to be valid for all variants, other than dimensions. The board is almost fully compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, although some non-alphanumerical keys don't work on the latter two.
