At first I thought that this was a completely new fragrance, but then I saw that the already exists since 2012.

Anyone who has ever grown or been around "herb" plants know that marijuana leaves have a super mintyesque odor. It smelled pungent and I'm presuming that it was the cannibis note, which did not agree with my chemistry at all. I still remember my very first bottle of “real” perfume; it was “Miracle” by Lancome and I got it as a gift from one of my aunts. To give Florabotanica its fairytale air, the perfumers added a formula of psycho sensory plants, making it particularly enchanting.

Upon first spray (during hot, humid weather outside but sprayed within the haven of my air conditioned apartment), this smells slightly powdery and also like… pencil shavings?

I wear this mostly when I want something inoffensive or in spring, but it definitely is signature scent worthy for someone more into florals.

Inspired by a strange and wonderful garden in which you do not know whether the flowers are innocent or poisonous, Florabotanica from Balenciaga evokes the 18th Century botanical gardens in which the most exotic and rarest plant species were displayed. It's now a skin scent but that's relative seeing as it's still projecting a good 3 inches between skin and nose.I really wish I could spray Florabotanica on myself with abandonment, I so want again to get lost in this imaginary, calming world, and its dry down is one of the most beautiful I have experienced in a while. I love This perfume but I only use it when I'm in very specific mood on fresh spring sunny day, like today was. The dry down reveals more of a warm sweet herbal tea like scent with the amber coming through the more it wears.
