Beyerdynamic describes the circumaural (over ear) DT1770PRO as a closed studio reference headphones for mixing, mastering, monitoring and recording and it is the evolution of a studio legend.

There's good reason why the DT1770 Pros are the first choice for many pro-producers, engineers, and musicians. These closed-back headphones don't have much airflow compared to the open-back Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO but are still fairly breathable, so they won't make your ears feel hot during casual listening sessions. These closed-back headphones don't have active noise cancelling, which is to be expected for audiophile headphones, and as a result, they don't block out bass-range noise. Desire to learn and share knowledge of science required as is 20 years of participation in forums (not all true).Unfortunately I didn’t make a video at the time, so there is no version to watch on YouTube, however, I will be making some comparisons (as is expected) throughout this review).

Plus in contrast to most other headphone brands, you can get many replacement parts directly from Beyer, should something break. You’re saying the ‘DT’ series are pro, because most of those are ‘studio’ headphones, which kind-of makes sense.Comparing the two side-by-side, both and without the EQ, the DT 1770 Pro hasn’t been able to reproduce tracks as cleanly in my experience. It's all about function, about precision, about making sure the sound is as enjoyable, accurate and clean as possible.
