About this deal

For true believers only, a lavishly illustrated volume by the world’s most distinguished dragonologist. However while these are authored by Dugald Steer, other than Monsterology: The Complete Book of Fabulous Beasts, [5] they do not have anything to do with Dragonology or Dr. Ernest Drake is presented in all its eccentric glory, happily bridging the gap between dragon legend and fact. It's awesome to read this book, And my favorite one (of the dragons) is either the European Dragon or the Ice Dragon. What makes it worse is that "Dragonology" still stands as one of the higher-quality and more convincing of the 'Ologies'.

In her final year at Brighton, Helen was awarded the first Walker Prize for Children's Illustration. I think that the Ologies would be useful for breaking in more complicated, especially scientific, words to young children.Keeping mum about this being fiction was kind of like keeping her believing in Santa Claus or the tooth fairy! Secret spells to help you get a dragon, how to train a dragon, how to hatch dragon eggs, the difference between most dragons and habitat locations. Drake assigns Latin names to various dragon species, ruminates on why dragons are able to speak, speculates on how they could fly, and explains the true purpose of their notorious hoarding habits.

Wayne Anderson (Illustrator) Wayne Andersen has been illustrating in his colour pencil style for over 40 years and is renowned for his playful imagination and fantastic imagery. I do believe an Ology competitor sprung up after the initial success of the Dragon and Egypt Ologies. For true believers only, a lavishly illustrated reproduction of a legendary volume by the world's most distinguished dragonologist. A wonderful, detailed, simply beautiful book, with gorgeous illustrations, secret messages and codes to crack. And the way older folk (who, let's admit it, never really gave up on that dragon cuneiform anyway, now did they?

Especially amusing are "Finding, Hatching, and Raising a Dragon" and the explanation of what to do for a person who's been hypnotized by a dragon. Mock-serious academic advice on types of dragon, how to hatch and care for young dragons - all very tongue in cheek. So if you're looking for something thought-provoking, or, for the odder among you - 'proof' - then it will sorely disappoint.

It has lots of flaps to look behind, and messages in pouches and other neat things which make the book extra fun. May also contain light spine creasing or a few markings such as an owner's name, short gifter's inscription or light stamp. A person who has been hypnotised by a dragon should be made to do a large number of complicated mathematical sums. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Celebrate 20 incredible years of Ology with this special edition of Dragonology - the journal of dragonologist Dr Ernest Drake. The fictional premise of this book is that it is a facsimile of a lost work originally printed in 1895 and supposedly written by a dragonologist named Dr. Helen Ward (Illustrator) Helen Ward trained at Brighton School of Art, under the direction of well-known children's illustrators such as Raymond Briggs, Justin Todd and Chris McEwan. Said to originate from the library of eminent Victorian dragonologist Ernest Drake, this book imparts to readers the secrets of the ancient science of dragonology, bridging the gap between dragon legend and fact.
