About this deal

When a young man wakes up bruised and beaten, with no memory of who he is or where he came from, the press immediately dub him 'The Lost Man'. It was my first book by the author and, considering the fact that it was also his debut novel, he got already my full attention- even if I didn't rate it with a full five stars - and I am sure that he will be getting better in the following installments about David Raker, a missing persons investigator. Albania, Algeria, American Samoa, Andorra, Angola, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Aruba, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Benin, Bermuda, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde Islands, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, European Union, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guam, Guatemala, Guernsey, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jersey, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Macedonia, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Malta, Marshall Islands, Martinique, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Montserrat, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niger, Niue, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Republic of Croatia, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Romania, Saint Helena, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vatican City State, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (U. But despite the hundreds of people who went missing every day of every year, I’m not sure that I ever expected to make a living out of trying to find them.

Tim Weaver is the Sunday Times bestselling author of thirteen novels, including No One Home, The Blackbird and The Last Goodbye , and a short story collection. Tim Weaver is the international bestselling author of the mystery series featuring private investigator David Raker. Not his best book IMO A good plot with an unexpected twist at the end, but too full of graphic descriptions of gratuitous violence for my liking - I found it uncomfortable reading. But I also know him from "Red Harvest," which is one of the worst Star Wars novels I have ever read.Biography: Tim Weaver is the Sunday Times bestselling author of thirteen novels, including No One Home, The Blackbird and The Last Goodbye, and a short story collection. But despite the hundreds of people who went missing every day of every year, I'm not sure that I ever expected to make a living out of trying to find them.

But when Mary Towne employs him to find her son Alex, he doesn't realise what torments he is letting himself in for. I would recommend it to my thriller-reading friends who are willing to branch out into a bit of horror. Oh and the twist in the tale was an actual twist not one of those ones that you will know all along. The book opens with a Coben-esque conundrum - David is tasked with finding the dead son of a friend, who swears she saw him very much alive, walking the streets of London a month or so earlier.

His novels are Broken Heart, What Remains, Fall From Grace, Never Coming Back, Vanished, The Dead Tracks, and Chasing the Dead. I skimmed the second half, with its complacent scenes of torture and pseudo Christian references to evil and such! Seller has stated it will dispatch the item within 1 working day upon receipt of cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab . Praise for Tim Weaver:'Weaver has delivered another cracking crime thriller' Daily Mail'I couldn't put it down' The Sun'Weaver's books get better each time - tense, complex, written with flair as well as care' Guardian'The reader is educated as well as entertained, enthralled and intrigued. There’s an interesting premise/hook here that careens off the rails about a third of the way through, the story-line never finding its way back to even mindless entertainment.

Went into it based upon my love for Joe's other books I read (No Doors, No Windows and Death troopers) but what I got was a different taste of his works all together. I'd always liked the investigative parts of journalism, the dirty work, the digging, more than I had liked the writing.I liked this book so much that when I finished it I immediately downloaded the next one in the series. His fourth novel, Never Coming Back, was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, and his work has been nominated for a National Book Award.
