Northern Wheatear, Cowberry and Silver-washed Fritillary and Long-legged Fly from the Natural History Cabinet of Anna… https://www. The 18th century illustration of a bird perched on a branch which bears a pear, red and white blossoms, and leaves with a… https://www.

Originally painted in gouache and pen, this hand drawn illustration has been printed on lightly textured 300gsm watercolour paper, and signed in the bottom corner with permanent ink. It was followed by a Collins guide by Roger Tory Peterson and a Hamlyn Guide by the American Arthur Singer. The Town Council has 19 councillors (all volunteers) and meets on the first Tuesday of the month (with the exception of August in which there is no meeting). I chose illustrations in which the bird was in the centre of the page and the rest of the space was ideally empty. The biggest (active) part of this project time-wise was collecting the images and making them look roughly uniform by cropping them to the same size and having the subject roughly in the same spot in each one.

I watched Derrick’s tutorials on training a StyleGAN Neural Network and the things he was saying made a degree of sense to me, plus he had published a handy Google Colab notebook with step-by-step code, so I decided it was something I might be able to have a go at. Initially bird illustrators have to produce little sketches showing how they plan to fit birds on the page. These have to be passed and then the final illustrations are produced, more or less as in the draft. Cambourne is a vibrant community and it is our intention to enable more residents to play an active role in the community, through participation in community events and activities, volunteering, attendance at Town Council meetings, ideas for community development, or simply taking advantage of our excellent community and sports facilities within the villages.

The image below is the first sample image I got, which shows the original faces mixing with some features of my images! Coracias Garrulus Lin (European Roller) by Magnus Von Wright (1836), an isolated portrait of an European roller. The “adversarial” part of the name refers to the fact that a StyleGAN actually comprises two Neural Networks which work against each other.
