I found the rhyme in this a little uneven from time to time, but I am not sure if that isn't just due to pronunciation differences between American and British English. Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. Sometimes I will read to her, sometimes she will read to me, sometimes we take turns reading a page each or doing the different characters, always putting on voices, especially for the wolf. Therefore, we travel Red’s journey and recognise her resilience and understanding of how books answer all questions.

The theme of the ravening wolf and of the creature released unharmed from its belly is also reflected in the Russian tale Peter and the Wolf and another Grimm tale The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids, but its general theme of restoration is at least as old as the biblical story, Jonah and the Whale.
