They do not add anything to the story: not needed info, cuteness, wit, humor or whatever the author thinks they add. This, unusual for me, read managed to make me smile while also reminding me that our world is in trouble and that we all need to do our bit. They’ve both got baggage and we learn about this as the book progresses and there are some darker topics that appear later on. Bee and Nick’s relationship may be insanely complicated, but there should be nothing complicated about your decision to check this one out.

It’s worth saying that what begins as a simple love story expands rapidly into a character-filled, plot-driven epic that challenges you to keep up!

Not only is it a well written modern fantasy/faerie tale, but it’s also a feast for true romantics at heart!
Well, I actually don’t want to delve into too much detail here – I want any reader to find out the story like I did and go with the flow.In fact, after her latest disaster at meeting up with someone, she's happy to swear off dating at all. Things are bittersweet, knowing these two have found the person for them but also knowing they can never be together other than by text. We need brave, big stories like these, stories that help children (and adults) find their place in a sometimes frightening world.
