Student interviews revealed the agency’s focus on compliance with legal requirements and related processes. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful country and along the way, say kia ora to many of New Zealand’s friendly residents. All the Colours of London is an illustrated exploration of the iconic objects that define the city, through the colours that weave through its streets and define its landmarks. We arrived in the country a couple of weeks after international cricketer Phillip Hughes died: ‘Vale Phillip Hughes’ came the messages on Twitter and other social media. DT’s talent and track record will strengthen the AKQA community and enhance our combined purpose to partner with progressive clients to define and deliver a better future together.

What better day to start a new blog on Australia than Australia Day itself, when the locals are out in their thousands firing up the barbie and celebrating what it means to live in what many claim to be the greatest country on earth. WPP Australia and New Zealand CEO Michael Connaghan, who oversees over 80 agencies in the region, sums up the potential of the new partnership: “Combining the cultural influence, core values and global calibre of AKQA with the capability and coverage of DT represents an extraordinary platform to create the world-leading brand experience agency. A special shoutout goes to our esteemed partners, ILSC Education Group and Greystone College, who generously offered their premises in Sydney and Melbourne, respectively, for hosting these events. I do some sports reporting, too, and have noticed this use of the term ‘versing’ among some of my reporter colleagues.

Frankly it strikes me as crassly lazy and I challenge most users to know what they are actually saying when they use it. I’ve ended up here and am none the wiser but can confirm that this term has only recently been used in Australia.

People might say the same about RIP but that comes with a deeper cultural meaning and not just religious. AKQA has always been an inspiration to so many, redefining the industry through influential work time and time again. The organization of the events, the courses offered, our comprehensive student support services, and the informative migration seminar were all praised highly. But for Australians, ‘Vale’ is the word that immediately comes to everyone’s lips – well, strictly speaking, their pens or keyboards – when someone significant dies. Thank you to everyone—our team, students, and partners—who contributed to this achievement; you are essential! The first time I saw it, as it said “Vale, name, name”, I assumed that the person, who I could determine was deceased from the other details in the note, had a last name of Vale!

I’m no expert but the guy in this fun video (link at the bottom of my comment) seems to know what he’s talking about so try this for correct pronunciation of vale and if it’s correct let’s educate our broadcasters because if they are going to appropriate a word then they should at least pronounce it correctly to show the respect to the deceased they are trying to honour. I don’t see it has having anything to do with political correctness, but I’m glad you agree that it is a relatively new term to Australia, that has now taken over as the go-to expression, especially in the media.
