If there is ever a poll for the greatest ever Blu-Ray releases in years to come its going to hard to not include EUREKA's release of Fright Night. Von mir 5 von 5 Sterne- weil der Film alles richtig macht und deshalb auch eine klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite.

It’s an outstanding presentation, organic to its source with high levels of detail and a thoroughly refined grain structure.

Then there are a couple of brand new pieces: a lengthy 35th anniversary table read of the film’s screenplay, an enjoyable featurette on the novelization process (as well as the recent reprint of the Fright Night novel by Encyclopocalypse Publications), and a truly fascinating conversation between Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller and actor Amanda Bearse about the gay subtext and context of the film that really digs deep into the material. I've never actually seen this film from start to finish, I think I had caught bits of it when it was on tv before but I remember seeing the movie poster as a kid and thought how cool and it was, while freaking me out at the same time.

Score: Cast: Chris Sarandon, William Ragsdale, Amanda Bearse, Stephen Geoffreys, Roddy McDowall, Jonathan Stark, Art J. Music is also room filling and spacious, the night club scene in particular sounds quite lively and not as flat as I was expecting. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings Tom Holland's Fright Night to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray as a three-disc limited edition SteelBook combo package.The former will be included in actual 4K, while When Worlds Collide will be included as a remastered Blu-ray bonus. We have also acquired the distribution rights for Italy for the documentary “you’re so cool brewster” and it would be interesting to evaluate the creation of a new video master starting from a 4K scan of the 35mm film.

Sony Pictures brings the film to 4K Ultra HD for the first time with a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, graded for high dynamic range (HDR10 and Dolby Vision options are included). Participants include Tom Holland, Ben McKenzie, Chris Hendrie, Rosario Dawson, Mark Hamill, Amanda Bearse, William Ragsdale, Dorothy Fielding, Stephen Geoffreys, Chris Sarandon, Art Evans, Jonathan Stark, and Jason Patric. It plays mostly front-heavy, but the slight sounds coming from the rear speakers make this disc an audio delight.

NEW 35th Anniversary Script Read: Virtual Reunion (1080i/60, 157 min) commences with Holland giving viewers a tour of his collection of props from the production. Simply put, Fright Night is an homage to the horror classics, a fond nostalgia trip to a time when the genre was filled with atmosphere, suspense and mystery.
