The first half of the book is very slow and really just feels like a repetition of the same type of event over and over. I never not finish a book, I just wanted to give it a go, but I so wanted to just stop with this one. Dear Mum, I just don't know what I'd do without you' is hand lettered and printed onto 300g quality card with an co-ordinating Kraft envelope.The memory-evoking illustrations on the cover, combined with the colourful font, make this a delightful gift to give – and then get back. You want to treat your mum to something special but its quite difficult not to get her something similar to what you have bought the previous years. You are invited to believe they are all guilty and one by one they are discarded, even the truly guilty. I was dizzy with really remote possibilities that I'd have been angry with if they were true, so I'm glad they weren't. Wish I had found these little book's years ago - would have loved to have been able to have bought the dad one as well.
