Its aroma is composed of many aromatic elements, such as citrus, green notes, musks, and woods such as vetiver and cedar. The other one was Armani Pour Homme (when I was a teeny tiny kiddo) and this Bvlgari when I was in HS. Give Bvlgari Pour Homme a few sprays when calm and relaxation are the first and last goals of the day. I don't care about extreme projection or 12 hours+ performance, I'm more concerned about the scent, and this one smells really good. This is "that" shirt in a bottle-complete with mother-of-pearl buttons and hand sewn silk thread seams. Agree with all the feedbacks about the opening blast that hits the nose and the EXTREMELY superb concoction of a base note, and have been disappointed that Bvlgari couldnt amp up the base/drydown which is the best part of this perfume. Nothing not to like here infact I think it's excellent in many ways a sweet yet ever so slightly dry, woody composition which many will enjoy. I like Bvlgari Extrême, I just wouldn't characterize it as a "gentleman's fragrance"—perhaps because it was released circa 1999, it just smells like a generic clean-ozonic masculine scent to me.

Bvlgari Pour Homme takes everything that's great about his blockbuster L'eau D'Issey - released two years earlier in '94 - and gets rid of the aquatic notes in favour of a beautiful floral heart. Besides a big, radiant tea accord bolstered by musks and aldehydes (yay for obvious aldehydes in mens scents! This scent develops really well on skin and fabric, I love the clean white musk in the base, it makes it sweet and clean, the vetiver surprisingly doesn't make it smell dirty. The deliciously crafted notes disappear almost as fast as one applies it to his/her skin, as if my flesh were the fabric of a super massive black hole. Pour Homme is a subtle, delicate green tea infused with flowers and a little pinch of spices, which dries down to musky and woody aroma with green tea playing around. On the plus side, it is available very inexpensively and the presentation is attractive in a standard Bvlgari way. Although I'm satisfied and enjoying the soft, gentle wafts of musky vetiver, I think I would have enjoyed the listed notes of Tea and Amber and Tonka as well yet my skin is not projecting those favorite notes of mine. Every time I smell this on someone, I just want to get closer to them, and maybe bury my nose in their neck for a little while.
