Bulleit founder, Tom Bulleit, was a marine and a successful lawyer before he decided to start his own whiskey business by resurrecting his great-great-grandfather's bourbon recipe from the mid-1800s. Very strong taste of spice, powerful hot chilli spice, yet it's also really smooth alcohol-wise considering the strength. It reveals itself to the eye with a deep and luminous amber yellow color; the nose reaches spicy and sweet hints of vanilla and honey, combined with white pepper, fruity notes of cherries in alcohol and raisins are also perceived, with a final touch of leather and tobacco.
