Three layers of tender, moist chocolate cake are stacked on top of one another, filled with thick layers of fluffy, Oreo-filled buttercream. Divide the batter equally into 3 six inch round cake pans lined with parchment paper and greased (about 300 g in each tin). Next add in half of your premixed dry ingredients to your wet mixture, and gently fold it in with a spatula until just combined. Spoon over a generous layer of chocolate cream, around half of the mixture, until all the Oreos are covered – go right to the edges.
If you plan to decorate the outside of the cake with more Oreos, as shown, you might need a second package.
With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth, about 30 seconds.
Quick question I wanted to add Oreos into the actual batter and do just a vanilla type cake and add Oreos similar to your cookies abs cream cake. I tried to darken the dark chocolate ganache by adding some black color gel to the cream before microwaving it all.If you don’t have a food scale, I recommend spooning the flour into the measuring cup and leveling it.
