The Baddies reminds readers that joy and bravery can happily defeat mean-spirited bullying, and that kindness can bring contentment. My little nitpick: I wish the author or editor had caught the double use of the phrase "as could be," and changed one of them to something else. A mouse, overhearing the debate, gives the monsters a specific challenge to determine which of them is actually the worst of them all.
