About this deal

Working well as a point and shoot camera, the Moto G31 might lack the finer details and refinements, but it offers some easy-to-use software features that mean this is ideal for the average snapper.

You might be looking for a high refresh rate phone – 90Hz – at the budget end of the phone market but you’ll have to look elsewhere for that. It’s set to four icons wide, but I’d prefer to make it five to fit more but this isn’t an option in the menu. On the plus side, the Moto G31 does offer plenty of great software options that are easily picked out as and when you might want to use them. You can do this from your phone, or online - we’ll guide you through the process once you check out. This is my 4th Moto phone and have been very pleased with past purchases, but this one is a disappointment. And for those loyal to the Google brand, our Google Pixel trade in service ensures you always stay ahead of the curve. This means that the phone can easily handle normal operation and more demanding applications or games. The Moto app on the main homescreen is where you’ll find a bunch of things to explore including gestures, display options and entertainment controls. We sent it to our lab to test everything from battery life and recharging speed to camera quality and water resistance.

Get the key specs, technical data, ratings and full review of Motorola Moto G31 128 GB all in one place. It comes with several improvements over its predecessors, including a higher resolution AMOLED display and a somewhat better, though still not brilliant, camera set. One thing to note is that the display is limited to 60Hz – ie the standard refresh rate of screens for many years. Another important parameter is the processor frequency, which indicates how many instructions the phone can process in one second.Like a lot of phones at the moment, the Moto G31 has a sizeable 5000mAh battery and Motorola says that you can get 36 hours of usage from it. This is the reason you benefit from a minimum 1-year warranty with the purchase of a refurbished device at Back Market. Despite being cheaper than many pairs of wireless earbuds, the G31 offers features like an OLED screen, triple rear cameras and long battery life. A reasonably sharp resolution of 1080 x 2400 helps too, although the lack of a 90Hz refresh rate is a shame. In our Geekbench 5 tests, the Moto G31 achieved a single-core score of 345, which is pretty low but beats the likes of the ageing Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.

We found the phone to be pretty sluggish at getting back up to full power, but at least you won't need to recharge too often. Due to technical constraints, Kelkoo cannot guarantee the complete accuracy, nor the completeness of the information provided by the merchants. With this capacity, you may find that if you use your phone heavily, you may need to recharge your phone during the day. Tech Advisor's Reviews Editor, Chris has been reviewing all kinds of tech for over 10 years and specialises in audio. It might be the somewhat weary feeling of someone who has reviewed phones for more than a decade but there’s not a huge amount to say about the Moto G31 in terms of design and build. would be one of the biggest phones around but is very much the norm now – of course better screen-to-body ratios have helped a lot here, stopping phone chassis also getting too big. Storage is set at 64 GB, but you have the choice between two colour variants: Mineral Grey and Baby Blue. inch AMOLED display looks bright and vibrant most of the time, even if it misses out on having a refresh rate any higher than 60Hz. Detail and quality is generally decent from the main camera if you’re in good lighting conditions but it struggles when put in lower light situations – even if the 50Mp is 4-in-1 pixel binning to result in 12.
