About this deal

But if you have childhood memories of this dismal time, it’s probably a great wave of figures – except for that Cyclops thing they unleashed upon the world. Despite some issues, I really do like this figure, especially since I was sorry to see him omitted from the first wave. Yes, a lot of the sculpt appears to be recycled, but Hasbro cast off the smooshy and chalky white plastic for this vibrant translucent blue that is absolutely gorgeous and does a great job replicating an ice effect, especially with the white dusting around the chest and shoulders. The hands are not a huge deal to me because I need my Juggs to have fists, but it is still a nice inclusion, however, getting this new head is awesome and it looks GREAT! This is where you will find any My Little Pony, Monster High, Barbie or Polly Pocket items that we may have in from time to time.

All that said, we have not even gotten to the fact that figure also comes with two new open hands for grabby-grabby action, as well as a destroyed helmet that fits over an unmasked and severely beaten portrait head. Juggernaut is HUGE (about the size of AoA Apocalypse and Venom) and Colossus is comparable to the Avengers Endgame War Machine or the Fantastic Four The Thing figure. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. These stay in place well and sit so tightly that my half-blind eyes didn’t even notice the belt wasn’t latched until I was done with the majority of the review photos. With a bulky action figure like AOA Colossus, I always worry a bit about loose or weak joints not being able to hold up to posing.

This is actually hard to tell though, so might be wrong because some of the details and angles look a bit softer here. I don’t have any delusions that we’ll ever—EVER—see any of the actual AOA Generation Next kids in action figure form, but this bulky Piotr Rasputin is a standout winner nonetheless. I do want to mention a point that I have not had to deal with for my other 80th figures is that this particular Colossus does have some paint slop issues.

The first assortment had some heavy hitters and the amazing Sugar Man Build-A-Figure, so it’s going to be a tough act to follow. action figures Avengers Bandai Batman Black Panther Black Series Boba Fett Captain America clone Darth vader DC Comics DCEU DC Multiverse Death Metal Diorama Doctor Strange Endgame Figuarts Hasbro Hulk Infinity War Iron man Justice League Mafex Marvel Marvel Legends McFarlane Toys MCU Mezco Mezco One:12 OLDBOY CTTS Review Revoltech S. While the honorable, gentle giant that is Colossus is among the most beloved X-Men of all-time, the hardened Piotr Rasputin is selfish and cowardly in the Age of Apocalypse, where he abandons all of his young students to die so that he and his wife and sister can escape alive. The lack of belt and non-textured helmet were already speaking to my aesthetic preferences, but in midst of everything else that was revealed, I kind of passed over him as a modest upgrade to a figure that I already had and, for the most part, liked. So, while those remain in the bracers (but are oddly less noticeable), the helmet is free and clear and it looks much, much better. The biggest improvement though is in the helmet, both in its lack of pock marks, as well as the shape. There’s nothing groundbreaking here, as Hasbro didn’t have to do a whole lot to convert their regular Magneto to the AoA version, so it’s fair to say he’s one of the budget saving figures in this assortment.
