I haven't used the G27 much, and the last time I drove at my friends was so long ago that I can't really remember what the stick felt like, but I've been very happy with my TH8A, though it does make quite a bit of clanking noise when in use, though I fixed that with a thin sliver of foam sheet taped around the stick. Now the same pot that would be recognizing if you moved the shifter into one of the front gates or top gates is seeing if you're pulling back or pushing forward.

You cannot start your PS4 through the CronusMax, and you lose the analogue sticks which are kinda crucial in GTS (liveries, photos), and PC2 (HUD). While the G25 to G27 Shifter Units are not directly compatible ie Plug into each other the method of making it so is so bloody simple it's laughable. There are two paddle shifters, six buttons, and dual-motor feedback with helical gears that make less noise than previous versions and provides more responsive steering. That said, I actually use my DS4 again now, saves a lot of space, not to mention the fact that a CronusMax'ed PS4 loses a lot of its usability, a collateral not worth it when the benefit is negligible.

It turns out that I have a steering wheel, the G27, but as it is known, it is not compatible with PS4. The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. I don't think it can, the shifter plugs into the steering wheel, I think that's the only way it functions correctly. The new helical gear system makes less noise and eliminates steering noise in this incarnation of the steering wheel. And when in sequential mode it floats back to the middle from first or second values change so you would think the next time I pull back on the shifter it would go into 3rd gear. I hooked it up to my pc to test it out but I could not find a driver for a G25 and since the computer registers it as a G27 since that is the only driver I could find, it doesn't recognize sequential mode so therefore I could not test it that way. It was also confirmed that Fanatec is working on a cheaper CSL-Range/Line shifter, but it seems there is no ETA for that one to arrive yet.

I got my new DB9 socket and enclosure (might be a bit big to fit in the wheel) from JayCar and I'm ready to solder it. Not only does it allow me to save money and utilize my G27 on my PS4 without the aid of a PC passthrough (like I previously had to do with my GIMX adapter) but I can also use this on my Xbox One S and I believe Xbox 360. But I posted this over on Logitech's forums as well and a guy responded he had the exact same problem.
