The factory subwoofer option fits in this location, but is of a different (specific) form factor/design. I've started taking out the various trunk interior panels to gain access to the wiring, and I have found that our V70R does not include pre-wiring for the subwoofer option. In total, you need 4 signal wires, one power cable, a ground for the amp, and then if you want, run the cable for the remote up to the passenger compartment. Providing that unwanted goods are received back by us in "as new" condition, we will refund payment for the goods. This wire harness provides a line out converter for connection to one set of RCA cables to provide an audio signal to an external amplifier. I decided to melt a small flat piece of steel through the black tiedown rod, and add a rivet nut to the plate for the subwoofer's fastener to thread into. The JBL wheel hub bolt thats included was too long when we tried to screw into the spare wheel hub mounting point, so I had to use my dremel multi-tool cutter and was able to trim off about 6cm. If the spare tire post is welded in place and ends up not being long enough to accommodate the BassPro, then there will be no way to secure the subwoofer.
