This Topaz Palette is a staple piece for you blue eyed beauties, with beautiful shades of bronze, orange and brown shades. If you’re looking for a really small palette for travelling, then the Huda might suit, but for me the Colourpop palette is better, has more variety in shades, is still small and lightweight for travel and best of all – it’s cheaper.

The dark brown in the left hand corner (first swatch of row 3 image) had a little more fall out than the others, but almost all dark browns seem to do the same.Use a lip scrub once a week and moisturize daily with a nourishing lip balm to get healthy, smooth lips that will not only look good but hold color better too. Overall, I do enjoy the Huda Topaz Obsessions palette a lot more than the Mauve one, it’s a lot easier to blend out and work with and is a great warm tone neutral palette for travel. The only thing I would say that detracts from the Obsessions line being the ultimate travel eyeshadow palette is that, with the exception of the light nude palette (at least on me), the color stories lean more nighttime sultry and rich, making them not as easy to use for lighter, daytime looks. However… you do have a lot of shades in there that are very similar tones and when you blend them out on the eyes they all sort of mix into the same colour. Online swatches of this palette make it look like the metallics have a lot of variety, but in person I do think they’re more noticeably similar and less rich in tone. Shade 8 : Mid terracotta, quite similar to shade 3, I personally think only one or the other is needed, this has a little less colour but on the eye they look quite similar. As lips have a very thin epidermis that lacks sebum, they need extra care to ensure they don’t dry out or crack.The only reason the neutral shade didn’t work is that it is too close to my skin tone to show up well. I just read through your review on the sapphire obsessions palette, and I love your photos and the look you did! But putting that aside, I have another one of the HUDA Beauty mini palettes and I thought I would share with you my thoughts and feelings! So this palette comes with 9 shadows and a nice mirror, in a pretty traditional component with a magnetic closure.
