About this deal
Now that we are older and have more friends to play board games with, we remembered we owned one of these but didn't know where it went (it was around 5 or more years at that point) and we want to play it cause we remembered how fun we had playing it even though there's only two of us. Use of these and any missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit from Klarna and other lenders. After a long period of testing, recapping and additional work done, the system is now up and running for the family. My husband and I played the game several times in a night with each game lasting around 20 minutes, although I imagine a game with more players would last far longer.
The box states that the game is for three to six players however I played the game quite happily with only two, the third would be the banker who is entirely unnecessary provided you are willing to take your own coins from the Gringotts stash. The “exact coins only” game mechanic forces you to circuit the board multiple times although you can limit the number of times you need to go around by thinking ahead regarding which coins you are using.
Spell and havoc cards are drawn by rolling swirls on the dice or by landing on a spell space on the board. The books are a little bloated, and there is a lot of "stuff" that I don't feel adds to the story in a meaningful enough way to be included.
I am always on the lookout for a new family board game so when one of my neighbours was selling off a copy of the Harry Potter Diagon Alley Board Game, I snapped it up without ever having heard of it before.
