Moment Cinebloom 10% is the most extreme filter, it gives the most bloom and the removes the most contrast from hightlights and shadows. The Tiffen Glimmerglass Filter is a diffusion/beauty filter designed to produce a more flaterring image for skin tones in particular for close-ups and portraits. To give a quick overview, I prefer the Glimmer Glass filters with daylight photography, and I prefer the Black Pro-Mist filters at night.

This is a process in which the filter substrate is laminated between 2 pieces of optical glass and ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. These add a unique look to the photos already, but regarding subjects with bokeh in the scene, there’s an enchanting glow I haven’t seen before. The Glimmer Glass filter has larger particles in it, almost like little flavor crystals that are highly reflective. Specular highlights are little points of detail that your eye and the camera both don’t naturally pick up. These filters vary in strengths and are available in various densities from 1/16th providing the smallest effect to 5 having the most effect on the image. Glimmer Glass filters also have the advantage that when viewed from the subject’s perspective, the filter appears to be sparkling, which can help to instil confidence in models, resulting in a potentially better performance.
