Se eu tivesse que resumir essa resenha, diria: aqui foi entregue tudo que esperávamos desde o primeiro. on the flip side, because this was the AUREN show, the other ‘main’ characters felt like they were only the extras, ESPECIALLY the H.

The worst part of this for me is that some parts ARE actually really sick- I love Auren's magic and the way it works. based on the ending, i think we’ll be able to finally see them together more in the next installment. The further we get into this book though, we realise that although Midas in some ways is agreeing to Auren’s new demands in others…. overall, this was another installment where the plot was barely there, but the characters more than made up for it. Gleam’ picks up where ‘Glint’ left off but we learn so much more about the characters and Auren’s background. She deals with what life gives her while holding her head high and secretly plotting to get herself out of it and into a better life. stars up and give the book 3 stars (like I did with the second book) but the more I think about this series the less I like it so rounding down it is. the good thing that came out of this was the 🥰 pining🥰 particularly from the H since his POV was also featured in the book even though it didnt appear until the 51% mark. She was a tyrant in all but name and I didn't want to continue on with her side plot, but alas I am not in charge of anything.

His "plan" made sense when he was a traveller that got greedy, not a criminal mastermind that had been coveting her for years. This book has significantly more plot than the prior two books, including a few different interweaving story lines. We find out that Midas is Barden East, the big bad she was threatened with before she met Midas, and we're supposed to believe that the big master plan of this crime boss turned monarch was to make her love him. I understand toxic and abusive relationships and maybe if this had actually been written with any ounce of effort it could show that but it just shows a weak and powerless man abusing an extremely powerful woman for NO REASON.

If a refund or reimbursement is payable to you, we will transfer the money using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.Even more, "baby" is a modern endearment, and feels like a slip-up in this ancient world with fae and kings. Why would you have let her travel as openly as she did between kingdoms, separately from you, if you didn't want her to have freedom of thought and action? The ending was perfection and I would have it no other way actually maybe if Midas suffered even more. This one might be a bit petty, and I might be the only one it bothers, but "baby" in my mind is used primarily by teenagers and manipulative men - NOT by highly intelligent kings who spend their time strategizing war and politics while also supporting women's strength and independence.
